WATCH: Supergrass Returns To Late Night TV With “Richard III”

90’s British Rock trio Supergrass returned to late-night television last night (May 23) as the musical guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”. After their cult following was bouncing off the walls following the band announcing their official reunion in 2019, the pandemic forced them back into retirement. Supergrass came together to play Glastonbury Festival’s Pilton Party that year but were only able to play a handful of COVID-approved shows following their return. Right before the pandemic shut down their reunion high, the band recorded their live album Live on Other Planets which arrived in 2020.

Finally, the U.K. band was able to make it over to the states to charm the live audience at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre in Hollywood. Supergrass reached back to 1997 and put on an energetic performance of “King Richard III” off of their third album In It For The Money. This album got a rerelease in 2021 that featured live performances, demos, and remasters.

Although there are no rumblings of new music from the guys, they are heading out on a European tour starting on June 2nd in London at the Jubilation Festival. Check out last night’s performance below.
