Since the release of their 2021 album GLOW ON, Baltimore punk band Turnstile seems to keep getting bigger and bigger. The band is continuing their hot streak by bringing their mosh-pit-inspiring sound to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon with a blistering version of “Blackout”. This marks the band’s third late-night appearance since the release of GLOW ON and comes right at the beginning of their first world tour. It has only been a matter of months since the release of their third album and in the wake of it, the band is reaching new heights and exceeding everyone’s expectations.
This is not an overnight success story. Since their debut in 2016, Turnstile has been releasing skate-punk records and garnering a sizable underground following. Their first two albums proved they can make in-your-face Punk records, following in the footsteps of fellow DMV punkers Minor Threat. GLOW ON wouldn’t be considered a departure from their roots, more of a new era in the sound. Mixing sweet melodies and crooning with frantic guitar riffs.
After their Fallon set, Turnstile went right over to Brooklyn Steel to continue their massive tour. The band coasted off the energy of another terrific late night T.V. appearance by bringing out Blood Orange, who features on two tracks off GLOW ON.
