LISTEN: The Fruit Trees Drops Soothing Soundscapes On Mellow “Weather”

The Fruit Trees is a recording project by Johnny Rafter. Their debut album “Weather” will be released on cassette and streaming in the coming months through the boutique label flower sounds. The Fruit Trees treat us to a gorgeous calming soundscape on their debut release “A Rainbow.” This is the type of tune that can really set quite a mood whether it be waking up, getting creative, or falling asleep. There are a lot of layers intertwined over top of light guitar strumming and gentle poetic songwriting. Rafter uses analog-sounding effects and layering to create that mellow under the radar psychedelia that can be quite hard to find these days. Keep your ear to the ground for The Fruit Trees’ full album soon.

“A Rainbow started as an experiment while I was learning how to record in my room. I thought the music sounded like a rainbow, so I wrote lyrics based on that feeling and on an actual rainbow I saw once while walking on the beach,” says
