Continuing our special Juxtaposed June edition for Weirdo Wednesdays this month, today we bring you another particularly odd pairing that clearly does not go together in the form of this Suicidal Tendencies performance on Miami Vice from 1986. Where to begin here? First of all, when most people think of Suicidal Tendencies’ fanbase, it’s probably fair to say they do not picture a bunch of yuppies in stiletto heels stylishly dancing in a trendy nightclub that looks straight out of a scene from Footloose. But that’s exactly what you get here, bizarrely. Throw in the old guy in a wheelchair (hilariously) jamming out on the dancefloor (that would normally be a raucous moshpit of course), which only adds to the absurdity on display. That said, he does pull out a weapon later (which probably has more in common with a ST show in the 80s than anything else going on here). Remarkable to think how such a surreal scene was conceptualized, but whatever the case, here it is, for all our Juxtaposed June amusement. Behold:
