For yesterday’s edition of Manic Monday, Kurt Cobain snarled about the angst of his school days, but on the other side of the coin, plenty of people remember their school days quite fondly. Indeed, a little school nostalgia isn’t always a bad thing, as high school, in particular, could admittedly be a lot of fun at times, but probably not as much fun as this clip from the classic musical comedy film Rock and Roll High School, starring none other than the legendary Ramones.
Here we have Joey, Johnny, Dee Dee, and Marky rocking out with their fellow students in the middle of school to “Do You Wanna Dance.” Sure, it’s admittedly mildly corny, but the infectious energy here is undeniable. It’s a significantly less cringy version of “High School Musical”, the OG version if you will. Still, whatever the case, it’s a hell of a lot of fun….
