Very rarely does a cover of a Björk song not only do the original justice but in fact expand upon the emotional landscape offered by the Icelandic chanteuse. ON AN ON‘s cover of “Unison” does just that. Thankfully, the band doesn’t try and tackle Björk’s idiosyncratic singing technique, nor do they try and mimic the sparse sensuality of the Vespertine cut. Instead, they take the track and very much make it their own, and it’s one of the best things we’ve heard from ON AN ON yet.
