Phish to Close Tour Near Denver

Phish has just announced a three-night run at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, CO to take place over Labor Day Weekend – September 2 – 4. The shows will be the final ones of summer and fall for the band, who kick off their tour on May 27 at Bethel Woods in Bethel, NY.

Dick’s, a venue not far from Denver, is a 18,000 seat soccer stadium that hosts the Colorado Rapids MLS team. Camping will be available in the fields adjacent to the stadium. A lottery for tickets is currently underway at http://phish.portals.musictoday.com/ and runs until Noon ET on May 23. The general onsale will take place on Saturday, June 4, at 10AM MDT.

Starting with a run of shows during the Summer of ’88, Phish has a long history with the state of Colorado and has made The Centennial State a regular stop on most of their tours. Those hoping for an extended third leg of Phish Summer Tour will be disappointed to learn today’s announcement states, “These additional dates will be the last announced by the band for the Summer and Fall.” There’s always New Year’s!
