The Equifunk music festival returns to Camp Equinunk in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains for its fifth installment on August 17th – 19th. New Orleans funkmeisters Galactic will headline this year’s event. Other acts on the just-announced bill include Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, headlining Friday night, West Coast funk act Orgone, groove-rockers Pimps of Joytime and the best Led Zeppelin cover band going, Bustle In Your Hedgerow, as well as noted remix artists RAC. Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds & The Main Squeeze round out the initial offering. More Equifunk performers will be added soon.
HT’s Three Grown Men attended last year’s Equifunk and raved about the intimate environment and how each of the bands embraced the small setting. In fact, they called the event the “Anti-Festival” due to its lack of crowds and all-inclusive nature as a weekend pass guarantees on-site lodging or camping accommodations, access to all music, alcoholic beverages and meals for the entire weekend.
Equifunk tickets will set you back $299 for cabin lodging or $175 for camping.
