HT faves Umphrey’s McGee are currently preparing for UM Bowl III, which takes place at Chicago’s Park West on Friday evening. The sextet will play a second hometown show at Park West the night before.
Thursday’s free performance is part of the HUG Chicago 2012 event and acts as a kick-off for National Tourism Week. Those planning on participating in volunteer events on Thursday were offered admission to this private show, which is also a food drive for the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Tickets were distributed via Eventbrite and as of press time no more remain.
