Grace Potter and the Nocturnals put out an impressive album earlier this week when The Lion, The Beast, The Beat hit stores. Tonight, the longtime HT faves will celebrate the release of the LP in their hometown of Burlington at Higher Ground. This evening’s performance, which is scheduled to start around 9PM ET, will be webcast live on this Livestream channel.

Finally, Eddie Van Halen gave a rare interview to USA Today that was published today and in it, EVH tells the paper that his band will “do something special” in the New Year leading to speculation that Van Halen will perform at halftime of next year’s Super Bowl in New Orleans. We’d rather see the NFL lean back towards the aging rocker choices of the late ’00s as opposed to the more pop-oriented choices of 2011 (Black-Eyed Peas) and 2012 (Madonna). Stay tuned…
