Ween has added a bunch of June tour dates to their schedule — the dates start in Hartford on June 8th and run until the band’s appearance at Bonnaroo. I was surprised not to see any NYC area dates, until I was shown this link which indicates that Ween will be playing in Asbury Park as part of the Paul Green School of Rock festival. Other bands that appear to be amongst the acts playing the festival include the Adrian Belew Trio, Joan Jett and the Benevento Russo Duo.

On the community activism front, Melissa Smith was devastated when three jamband fans were shot and robbed on their way home from a Zilla concert in Denver on March 25th. Smith decided to do something about it and has started JAM 4 LIFE with Cervantes’ owner Jay Bianchi in the hopes of covering medical expenses for the three victims. This weekend Cervantes will host the JAM 4 LIFE benefit concerts featuring Zilla, Harmonious Junk, AAA, and many other bands. If you’re in the Denver area, please support this most worthy cause.

Dig the heady graphics… next thing you know I’m going to have to pay for all this insight.
There are some good used-to-be bands at that Goodstock festival… Chocolate Watchband, Quicksilver, Jefferson Starship, Vagrants… but not enough to make me wanna go.
Newm, I’d road trip down there with you just for Groovy Judy. And Prophet’s Thumb. Heady band names.
Here she is…

Good place for Eddie VH to resurface after rehab because there is certainly no drinking at NASCAR events.
It is nine ‘clock on a Sunday, and the weary crowd shuffles
in for the ultimate act of the 2015 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
Once again this 12 months, Bonnaroo is offering a constrained quantity of Groop
Camping packages which makes it possible for your group (24 folks or much more) to guide in advance
and enjoy the luxury of camping with buddies without the chaos and problem of arranging, meeting
up beforehand and entering with each other.

And like a child boomer’s BMW, a weekend at Bonnaroo (enhanced by a considerable budget for mind-altering
substances) may be as a lot about obtaining cultural capital
as the thrill of the trip itself.
