Robert Walter has been around the block more than once, spending time with the seminal live funk unit the Greyboy Allstars and his 20th Congress. Now Robert is stepping out with his new project Super Heavy Organ and laying down the groove with a newly reformed Steve Kimock Band.
The Slip have slowly been developing its distinct sound and style since the mid-nineties. The three-piece, made up of Brad Barr on guitars and lead vocals, Andrew Barr on drums and percussion and Marc Friedman on bass, have earned a strong dedicated following in that has been continually growing. Their sound spans everything from free-form jazz to almost pop-flavored power rock tunes and everything in between. A few days into their fall tour, The Slip stopped by Burlington to play a performance that at times, felt like a cozy family dinner and at others a timeless space voyage.
The Peacemakers have yet to gain much deserving national attention. Hopefully Believer will do the trick, as it offers something for just about everyone. Beliver

The Brothers Past, three days into a month long tour, hit Burlington with a hard punch to the head. The show at Higher Ground was a duel headlining gig with The New Deal. Both sides of the club would take turns presenting each band back to back, and his night really exemplified why having two “clubs” in one for Higher Ground can make live music so interesting.
