Sound Team Offer Exclusive Film With iTunes Download

Capitol Records is proud to announce the release of Sound Team’s debut record ‘Movie Monster’ on June 6th. The album harnesses both the purity of Sound Team’s live exuberance and the sonic maelstrom of their experimental side, all tied together with a limitless cache of hooks. In support of ‘Movie Monster’, Sound Team will embark on a headlining tour beginning June 13th in Tucson, AZ. The band is currently on a 15-date tour with Elefant.

Visual artists as much as they are musicians, Sound Team will offer one short film, the music video for the first single “Your Eyes Are Liars,” photos and seven Sound Team blips with the purchase of ‘Movie Monster’ via itunes. The short film, SURFING, is a 40-minute sensory trip of abstractions shot on a super 8 camera in New York’s Times Square by co-founder Bill Baird. SURFING’s soundtrack is an original score by Baird. In addition, the band created seven stream-of-conscience yet methodical blips to go along with songs on ‘Movie Monster’. Each blip is a short film under one minute embracing cut-out and collage imagery.

The Allman Brothers Band will hit the road for 26 summer tour dates that will find them playing everything from amphitheatres and festivals to theaters. As previously reported, the group will also play a handful of shows with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers.
