Eels: Wonderful, Glorious

Eels’ Mark Oliver Everett (aka-E!) loves making unique, largely un-categorizable albums that span a plethora of genres and incorporate a variety of sounds and raw vocal performances. For proof, check out his concept album trilogy of Hombre Lobo, End Times and Tomorrow Morning, or Blinking Lights and Other Revelations. Wonderful, Glorious attempts to continue this trend, but is far less successful than its predecessors.

Earl Slick: In The Studio with David Bowie

While Bowie remains silent amidst the flurry of excitement for the album’s release on March 12, producer Tony Visconti and guitar player Earl Slick have been the voices of Bowie.  On a laid back Monday afternoon, while Slick was “just hanging out with my dog today and doing a couple of interviews,” he is relieved that he can finally let the cat out of the bag after almost a year of keeping the secret protected.
