20 Years Ago Today- Tool Releases Complex & Progressivve Third LP ‘Lateralus’

20 years ago today (5/15/01), Tool released their third studio album, Lateralus. With complex musicianship and demanding opuses, this almost 79-minute album sold 2 million copies and set the stage for the also-successful 10,000 Days album that comes out three years later. Lateralus was named Kerrang!’s album of the year in 2001, and the band received the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for the song “Schism.” Since Tool just recently went streaming, let’s listen to Lateralus in full…
