24 years ago today (12/15/92), following his departure from N.W.A., Dr. Dre released his debut solo album, The Chronic. Released by his own record label Death Row Records, The Chronic features many appearances by Snoop Dogg, who used the album as a launch pad for his own solo career. The Chronic has been widely regarded as one of the most important and influential albums of the 1990s and helped usher in the G Funk sound.
