25 years ago today (7/3/96), at Kansas City’s Kemper Arena, Alice in Chains played their last show with lead singer Layne Staley, who would pass away in 2002. Live shows were seldom around this time for the grunge four-piece as one of Staley’s final shows was the MTV Unplugged performance in New York on April 10, 1996; it was their first concert in two-and-a-half years.
