25 years ago today (6/12/95), Fugazi released their fourth studio LP Red Medicine, which saw the post hardcore band deliver a vivacious guitar attack that broadened their appeal aside from their all-ages shows and never charging more than $6 for a ticket. The truly independent band of all indie bands, kept it real longer than most anyone yet managed to still grace ears with challenging compositions that held snippets of punk, psych and dub among others. While asking your favorite Fugazi album is never a definite answer, Red Medicine often tops many lists. Check out the album’s opener “Do You Like Me” with lead vocals from the great Guy Picciotto.
