25 years ago today (6/27/95), Phish released its first official live album aptly titled A Live One. This was a first for many fans who had been tape trading live shows for years upon this release and now had live Phish on not one but two CDs (double album). A Live One marked the first time that the band had officially released live recordings directly from their soundboard masters, with each track recorded at a different show from their Fall ’94 tour (except for one). Of course, since then Phish has officially released many many full shows in the CD format, but this 1995 release remains a compilation life soundtrack of sorts for many.
