25 years ago today (9/2/95), The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and museum opened in Cleveland, OH at its physical location. Yes its the place where music fans have their predictions each year if and when their favorite bands will earn their long over due induction (Rush finally in 2013). The 1995 opening ceremony featured performances by Bob Dylan, Chuck Berry, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Al Green, The Allman Brothers Band, Booker T. & the MG’s, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, The Pretenders, John Fogerty, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, George Clinton, The Kinks, John Mellencamp, Bruce Springsteen, The Animals’ Eric Burdon, and Boz Scaggs.
