29 Years Ago Today- The Black Crowes Release Debut Studio LP ‘Shake Your Money Maker’ (Watch Live Linkpop ’90)

29 years ago today (2/13/90), The Black Crowes released their debut studio LP Shake Your Money Maker. As the only album to feature guitarist Jeff Cease, it featured the hit single cover of Otis Redding’s Hard to Handle. The LP also featured now golden Crowes classics “She Talks to Angels,” “Jealous Again”, “Twice As Hard” and “Seeing Things.” While non radio tracks like “Sister Luck,” “Could I’ve Been So Blind” and “Stare It Cold” remain some of the strongest material Rich and Chris Robinson have composed to date. Chris has recently announced plans to revisit his earlier Crowes material via his new band As The Crow Flies.
