30 years ago today (10/9/87), Bruce Springsteen released Tunnel of Love, his eighth LP and long-awaited follow-up to Born In The U.S.A. Not considered an E Street Band album, Springsteen recorded most of the parts himself, often with drum machines and synthesizers and is considered one of his strongest albums despite a departure from the then customary “Bruce sound” of prior albums. Watch the official video for the highly underrated Tunnel of Love composition One Step Up.
