40 years ago today (3/15/76), KISS released their fan favorite album Destroyer. Rehearsals for Destroyer began in August 1975, while the group was embarked on their supporting tour for Alive!. The band felt that Bob Ezrin was the right person to help them take their sound to the next level and to maintain the commercial success they had achieved with Alive! and the album spawned some of their most memorable hits including “Detroit Rock City,” “God of Thunder,” “Shout It Out Loud” and “Beth.” Watch “God of Thunder” live from Cobo Hall, Detroit in 1977.
