30 years ago today (10/2/89), Neil Young released his 17th album Freedom – a return to his 70’s ragged and glorious form. During most of the ’80s on Geffen Records, Young received poor critical response as well as alienating his fans with a series of experimental albums. Young returned to his original label Reprise for Freedom and the album features three songs (“Don’t Cry,” “Eldorado” and “On Broadway”) first released on the EP Eldorado earlier in the year. Listen to the underrated second song on the album “Crime in the City (Sixty to Zero Part I).”
