30 Years Ago Today – Paul McCartney Releases ‘Flowers in the Dirt’ LP (Listen to “This One”)

30 years ago today (6/5/89), Paul McCartney released his eighth solo studio album outside of his work with Wings titled Flowers in the Dirt. While fans were waiting for the next “Band of the Run,” “Jet” and Maybe I’m Amazed,” Flowers brought a new edge to McCartney’s work due to his pairing with Elvis Costello in the studio.
