30 years ago today (9/7/87), Pink Floyd released A Momentary Lapse of Reason, their first album without Roger Waters. It followed guitarist David Gilmour’s decision to include material recorded for his third solo album on a new Pink Floyd album with drummer Nick Mason and keyboardist Richard Wright. The album outsold Pink Floyd’s previous album The Final Cut (1983), and was supported by a gigantic world tour and spawned two big singles “Learning To Fly” and “On the Turning Away.” Check out the official video for “Learning to Fly” that received significant MTV airplay back in the late 80’s.,,,,
