45 years ago today (4/1/76), Rush released their magnum opus and its career-saving LP 2112. Following the commercial failure of their previous LP, Caress of Steel, Rush stayed true to their vision of long songs and epic concepts. 2112 is regarded as the definitive Rush album before they moved onto more radio-friendly material on Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures.
