40 years ago today (10/20/76) The Led Zeppelin concert documentary The Song Remains The Same opens in London and New York, with the band attending the New York premiere. The filming took place during the summer of 1973, during three nights of concerts at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with additional footage shot at Shepperton Studios. For catching Led Zeppelin at its peak, The Song Remains the Same is considered one of the iconic concert films of its time, where closeups of the band members reveal their most enduring techniques.
