48 years ago today (9/26/69), The Beatles released the Abbey Road LP. The Fab Four’s eleventh studio album is considered one of the finest of all time, with a song sequence that builds on many themes, along with their Side 2 medley.┬áThe recording sessions for the album were the last in which all four Beatles participated. Although Let It Be was the final album that the Beatles completed before the band’s dissolution in April 1970, most of the album had been recorded before the Abbey Road sessions began.     Lennon said George’s track was the best on the album.
