48 Years Ago Today – Santana Plays Fillmore West For First Time (Listen to ‘Live at the Fillmore 1968’)

48 years ago today (12/19/68), Santana performed at San Francisco’s Fillmore West for the first time. The San Francisco based group would regularly appear at the venue and develop its Latin splashed psychedelic sound. Along with Carlos Santana, this initial performance included Gregg  Rolie (organ), David Brown (bass), Bob “Doc” Livingstone (drums) and Marcus Malone (congas). Santana released Live at the Fillmore 1968 which was recorded between December 19 and December 22, 1968. Listen to the LP below…
