50 years ago today (12/5/69), The Rolling Stones released one of their most defining and critically acclaimed LPs – Let It Bleed. The album sported gospel influenced numbers “Gimme Shelter” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” along with the country spirited “You Got the Silver”, “Love in Vain” and “Let It Bleed.” Most Stones best of lists will always see Let it Bleed cemented in the Top 3 or 4 among Exile, Beggars Banquet and Sticky Fingers.
