60 years ago today (5/18/60), In Nashville, The Everly Brothers record “Cathy’s Clown,” which is released as the first single under their new 10-year deal with Warner Bros. Records. The lyrics describe a man who has been wronged and publicly humiliated by his lover: “Here he comes / That’s Cathy’s clown”.
