72 years ago today, the legendary frontman for Queen and arguably the greatest lead singer of all time, the late Freddie Mercury was born on 9/5/46. Known for his four-octave vocal range, Mercury wrote and composed numerous hits for Queen and had a such a commanding stage presence that he literally had the audience in his grasp.
