Happy 45th birthday today to Andrew Bird who was born on 7/11/73. The violinist and composer was initially known through his work with the band Squirrel Nut Zippers but now is one of the most distinctive musical voices in the world with a sound that is truly only Andrew Bird. His albums that include Andrew Bird & the Mysterious Production of Eggs (2005) Armchair Apocrypha (2007) and Noble Beast (2009) and Break It To Yourself (2010) are all critics favorites and must-haves for the NPR and KEXP sect.
