Happy 50th birthday today to Bill Callahan who was born on 6/3/66. Recording under the band name Smog, Callahan has recorded a number of emotionally raw and and poignant albums that are often based on simple, repetitive structures, consisting of a simple chord progression repeated for the duration of the entire song.
