Happy 50th birthday today to Mike Cooley of Drive-By Truckers who was born 9/14/66. Along with Patterson Hood, Cooley formed Drive-By Truckers in 1996 and have formed one of the most formidable and respected co-lead singer/songwriter duos in rock history. In 2013, Cooley released his first solo effort The Fool On Every Corner, a live album recorded at Atlanta’s The EARL, and Drive-By Truckers is gearing up to release their 11th studio album, American Band on 9/30/16.
