Happy 60th birthday to guitarist and Sonic Youth co-founder Lee Ranaldo who was born on 2/3/56. Ranaldo has always tested and explored the limits of the guitars range and has been a pioneer in that gamut of sound. He has also released a number of critically acclaimed solo albums that have been praised for their experimentalism. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Ranaldo at number 33 on its “Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list. Along with his guitar work, Ranaldo is also a writer, visual artist and record producer.
