Happy 70th birthday today to Ry Cooder who was born on 3/15/47. The renowned guitarist, was once a member of Captain Beefheart’s Magic Band, and has worked with Gordon Lightfoot, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Randy Newman, John Lee Hooker. Cooder’s most celebrated solo work includes his 1979 album Bop Till You Drop and 1985 film soundtrack album Paris Texas.
