Happy 70th birthday to bassist Tommy Shannon who was born on 4/18/46. Best known as a member of the backing back to Steve Ray Vaughan (Double Trouble), Shannon and bandmate Chris Layton later formed groups such as the Arc Angels and Storyville. In his early days Shannon backed up Johnny Winter, and they formed a project known as The Progressive Blues Experiment in 1968.
