Happy 75th birthday today to David Gilmour who was born on 3/6/46. The former lead guitarist and co-lead singer of Pink Floyd has created a legacy of himself of sublime tone surrounding some of the most recognizable guitar solos in rock history. Let’s watch Gilmour and his solo band take on “Comfortably Numb” Live in Pompeii in 2016 featuring Chuck Leavell on keys. This was Gilmour’s first return to Pompeii in close to 45 years following Pink Floyd’s illustrious 1972 performance there.
