Happy 80th birthday today to Don Everly who was born on 2/1/37. As one-half of the Everly Brothers (along with brother Phil), The Everly Brothers were groundbreaking in their country influenced rock that later influenced legions of vocal harmony groups including The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and The Beach Boys. The bands that were influenced by those pre-mentioned artists grew all the branches of rock. In 1986, the Everly Brothers were among the first 10 artists inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
