Moderat (a combination of Apparat and Modeselektor) is an infrequent but beautiful collaboration, the most recent results of which are captured in a thought-provoking, artistically compelling video for the song, “Bad Kingdom.” Set in 1966 Britain, this hand-drawn visual tale follows the story of “a descendant of the English aristocracy who turns from being an ambitious young man into a ruthless power broker.”
