This morning on June 30, 2013, CBS broadcasted a feature on My Morning Jacket, featuring footage of the band and examining why in the words in of TV executive Bill Flanagan – “they are one of the most important bands to emerge this century.” In one of the more interesting moments, Jim James visits the silos outside Louisville, KY to show how these echo chambers had a primary influence in creating the band’s “reverb: sound. James also reveals his long-time affinity for The Muppet Show and how he always wanted to create a level of art that touches both grownups and kids.
