ATX TV Fest Makes Another Round Of Programming Announcements

The lineup for season 7 of the ATX TV Fest just got even better. Coming on the heals of the recent announcement that the festival will have a sneak peak of the Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Mayans MC, and a Felicity reunion, an existing screening just got much more interesting. While the new HBO miniseries series Sharp Objects was already slated as an opening night premiere, star Amy Adams (who also executive produces the series) will be in attendance.

Sharp Objects follows Camille (Adams), a crime reporter who’s released from a psych hospital after years of inflicting self-harm and returns to her hometown while beginning to investigate a pair of murders. Joining the Oscar-nominated actress for a Q&A after the screening will be showrunner Marti Noxon and author Gillian Flynn, who wrote the book that inspired the series. Flynn also serves as a writer and executive producer.

In addition, the new Grey’s Anatomy spinoff, Station 19, will be screening a sneak-peak of its premiere episode with cast members Jaina Lee Ortiz and Jason George and creator Stacy McKee.

Nick At Nite’s hit series Younger will return to the festival for the fourth time to preview its upcoming fifth season, and Nat Geo will give attendees a hint of the second season of their show, Genius, which is based on the life of Pablo Picasso.

The ATX TV Fest will be held from June 7th-June 10th in downtown Austin, TX. For more information, check out their website here.
