Glide Magazine’s Medium Fidelity Podcast Episode 2: Santos Montano of Old Man Gloom

Join us for another episode of Glide Magazine’s Medium Fidelity podcast.

On this episode, co-hosts Cody Villafana and James Roberts fight over the troubled legacy of Metallica’s St. Anger before being joined by Old Man Gloom’s Santos Montano to discuss the latest release from the experimental noise metal outfit, Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning.

The three also take the time to talk about the wildly popular Two Minutes to Late Night’s bedroom sessions, which recently featured Montano on a cover of Danzig’s “Snakes of Christ.” Montano regales our hosts with behind the scenes stories of the creation of the video series and its creator, Gwarsenio Hall.

Things get emotional, however, as Montano discusses the tragic loss of Cave In’s Caleb Scofield and the catharsis of creation as he and his band mates recorded their latest albums.

Laughs are shared, tears are shed, and secrets are revealed as the three sit down for an intimate conversation the likes of which could only be had with Montano.
