SONG PREMIERE: Truth & Salvage Co. Return with Expansive and Psychedelic “Charm City”

Cosmic Roots Rockers Truth & Salvage Co. are back. Originally formed jamming at Crane’s Hollywood Tavern in 2005, the band has been on hiatus since 2015 after releasing their second album and years of heavy touring. Most of the guys are settled in and around Nashville now.T he band gained national attention in 2009, when Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson signed the group to his Silver Arrow label and gave them the opening slot on his band’s tour that year. The band released their debut album (produced by Robinson) on May 25, 2010.

Now in 2022, they have reunited and are releasing an album that was made in 2012 with Rob Schnapf (Elliott Smith, Beck) called Atoms Form. The band’s record label vetoed the Schnapf recorded version of their sophomore release and made the band take two more swings at an album they’d accept, which became Pick Me Up.

Atoms Form is now getting a proper release on on October 7th via Blackbird Record Label / Indie AM Gold / Oakwilde Records. This is exciting news for Truth & Salvage Co. fans everywhere who’ve been awaiting the return of the widely loved musical brotherhood.

Today Glide is excited to premiere the standout track “Charm City.” For longtime fans of the band, this tune is sure to build excitement for their return. Sprawling, psychedelic instrumentals and sharp, simple lyrics give this song an expansive quality that feels like Pink Floyd meets Tom Petty. There is an epic quality to the track that is enhanced by the organ and big vocal harmonies, and the band takes things into truly far out territory with a sonically stimulating psych jam that stretches from the middle right up to the final verses. As the band gets back to playing shows, songs like “Charm City” will undoubtedly be shining moments in their set lists.
