Dress Warm looks to take internal feelings to the outside world. The group, founded in the instrumental division of Hall Johnson, looks to continue its deep dive into experimenting with home recordings and songwriting as Dress Warm grows as a project. Operating out of their house in Austin, TX Dress Warm blends the upbeat harmony frequencies that are reminiscent of Good Morning and the singer-songwriter lo-fi style of Tyler Burkhart. Dress Warm is about finding yourself in your ‘alternate lit’ bedroom at 4 AM and for the sunset drives after a long day at the public pool.
It’s official. Fall is upon us everyone and Austin’s Dress Warm has put out a new single chock full of buttery, low-key harmonies and vintage guitar tones to create the perfect melancholic soundtrack for all your sweater-wearing, pumpkin-picking needs. “HHH”, whose title may or may not require a deeper dive into the lyrics to figure out its relevance, delivers a slightly more playful, Real Estate ready to take ya by the scarf and guide you towards the oncoming winter.
“HHH is an ode to Triple H, the WWE wrestler who was wronged by Vince McMahon. Long live the Pedigree,” says the band.
