Just went for Bethel, came up goose eggs…
Nada. I wasn’t expecting much – of the 20+ shows I’ve put in for, I’ve scored exactly two.
Put in for one ticket each night June 3, 4, and 5th.
Got Pavilion, Lawn, and Pavilion.
I only put in for 2 tickets to the Sun night show @ Bethel and got shut out. WTF!?
Only put in for two tickets to Cincy and got pavilions.

So you guys who got lawn are still paying $60 when those same lawn seats will be $45 via TM? Was a refund applied?

@custeez – what ruse? what are you talking about? the fact that you didn’t get pavilion? thats why its called a LOTTERY. you don’t know what you are going to get…its a roll of the dice. there is no guarantee that if you go through TM you will get pavilion either. they could all be sold out by the time you make it through the queue.

Very disappointed you couldn’t select between seats and lawn during pre-sale, but I did go 7 for 7, so I guess I can’t complain. Can’t wait for Bethel and the rest of the summer shows!

I only requested ptbm tix for those shows where I wouldn’t mind being on the lawn, namely Bethel & nTelos, which is all gen adm anyway
My complete order was filled: singles for Bethel (1 Pav, 2 Lawns) and a pair for nTelos (will hit TM for Great Woods, Darien, Charlotte, and Raleigh)
Sucks not being able to request ‘Pavilion Only’ thru ptbm -such a blatant move from Red light to dump more lawns on fans. As a result, several friends skipped mail order entirely this time.
However, on the plus side several other friends scored awesome seats thru ptbm -I’m guessing fewer fans (and scalpers) put in for mail order

I thought that since there was no $45 option, that lawns were taken out of the lotto equation, sooo wrong.
Had 9 friends request a pair of NYE for me, only I received my request.
Had 5 friends try for 1 ticket to each of the 3 Jersey shows, I put in for 2 for each night. Can you believe I recieved ALL 20 Tickets? 9 PAVs and 11 Lawn. Can’t complain, I got a Camden Pit!!!!!
Lotto should not include lawn tickets(unless it’s all GA) or tickets behind the stage.
(Terminal 5 really did suck! Couldn’t hear, couldn’t see, and lots and lots of hostility!)(And to the A**hole who kept trying to force me out of my spot by backing into me, all the while pretending not to realize it, you really suck too!!!!)

@poster nut bag I have to agree with @custeez. It is a ruse. There is no guarantee with TM either, correct. BUT there is an option. If you pull lawns, you don’t HAVE to buy. With PTBM, done deal. And then when public on sale comes, you can buy more tickets or from the inevitable release on show day when a huge amount of decent seats are released. Then you stuck with tickets that are tough to GIVE AWAY much lease getting even close to fair value. Lawns suck now at most venues. Used to be fun on the lawn. Now it is a shit show as the lawns shrink (Great Woods, etc) and more people then ever are packed in and treated like shit by the money grubbing venue operators. There has to be a better way and the current model ain’t cutting it for a lot of people. The actual demand is no where near as high as perceived demand. It’s an artificial creation used to sell these often un-sellable tickets. Not a lot of shows last summer was a ticket an issue (barring of course TRide and a couple other one-offs)

people bitching about lawn seats are morons. The venue only gives phish a certain number of seats to sell thru lotto which means there is no ruse nutbag. the tix come from all parts of the venue they have no more lawn than they do pav. Also back when I started going to shows the only thing that mattered is that people got a ticket. if there was a pavillion only option none of you woulda got in. NOOOOOBS

Don’t do the lottery.Miss the days of waiting in line at ticketmaster outlets.I will take my chances getting tickets at the show.I have never came up empty handed and usually get face or cheaper.Screw Ticketmaster and Live Nation and thank God for kind Phish kids.
