Back in October the members of Ween donned Bunny Suits for their Halloween show at the 1st Bank Center in Denver. The band is now auctioning off those actual suits one at a time with all proceeds benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and UNICEF. The current auction ends later today and as of press time the bids are in the $400 range, so if you want a one-of-a-kind (well, actually five-of-a-kind) piece of brown music memorabilia head over to eBay.
Speaking of Ween, guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo recently liberated a video he says features, “some of the best video and sound quality of us I’ve ever seen” from the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia on March 1, 2008. The footage was broadcast on Australian TV during a run Deaner calls “the best tour we ever did.” While we agree with Melchiondo about the quality of the audio, I don’t understand why any director would choose to switch between shots in such an annoying fashion. Ween will be regulars on the festival circuit this summer as they follow up their recent set at Wanee with scheduled performances at the Hangout Festival, the Free Press Music Festival in Houston, High Sierra and Lollapalooza.
