In less than two weeks, Umphrey’s McGee will release Death By Stereo – the group’s long-awaited sixth studio album which features a mix of road-tested material and never-before-heard tunes. The Chicago-based prog-jammers have come up with another inventive pre-order program for DBS as if sales of the album hit certain figures, fans will collectively unlock more content such as a pre-orderers-only webcast.
Besides digital download, vinyl and CD bundles, Umphrey’s has made a Deluxe Edition available for pre-order that includes the album on all three formats, a 3D hologram, a cassette tape featuring nine unreleased demos and more. The album’s co-producer Kevin Browning debuted one of those demos, for the DBS track Deeper, in his room on Turntable.FM yesterday and if you missed it, you can hear it here…

Man. Haven’t listened to Umphrey’s in a while, but that was an awesome demo. Perfect for 7am!
Glad you enjoyed! Can’t wait to hear the other demos.
Not really sure what to call those things since Cassette Tape has been struck from the dictionary.
Love this. Almost hynotic~ trance-like.
